Bug Description

The first two OS's installed on my PC was Solus and Windows. Each had a place in the UEFI boot manager so that for example when pressing F11 a list of drives to boot to which included the each OS partition. It would also remember which partition was booted into last and go there if there was no intervention by the user. After Ubuntu Mate was installed the default OS was UM which showed the grub list with itself and Windows. It however did not see Solus on the NVME drive. In addition when first booting the PC and F11 is pressed to select an OS partition to boot to the naming convention for the OS's has become messed up. It shows the M.2 drive but gives it the name Samsung 840, when it should be 960. And shows itself to be on the 960 drive twice, when it should be on the 840 drive once.

So this image shows what is seen after boot options are selected for my PC. The M.2 is the NVME drive that is somehow names Sumsung 840, when it should be 960.

Further when the EFI partition is mounted there are two folders, one called Boot, which is the windows boot launcher, the another is ubuntu and nothing for Solus.

I believe you have simply created a second EFI system partition. Windows and Solus "Linux Boot Manager" are on the one drive, and Ubuntu is on the other. Try choosing the "Linux Boot Manager" option and see if that gets you Solus.
