Bug Description

In artful:

1) Open Settings->Online Accounts
2) Click on "Microsoft" under "Add an account"
3) See an authorization window pop up, enter my user/password for Microsoft Live
4) Click next, see it ask whether it's OK to give GNOME various permissions
5) Click yes, see the window disappear

But at this point, no Microsoft account appears in the active-accounts section. It just seems to have closed the window and done nothing.

Is there a way to get better logging for this and try again?

I cannot reproduce this bug with gnome-online-accounts 3.24.1-0ubuntu1 on artful, which is the same version that you are running.

I think by running "G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all gnome-control-center" and then trying to add your account as usual may print any log messages of any use to the terminal.

Right, good suggestion. That reveals the error:

GoaBackend-WARNING **: Did not find emails.account in JSON data

I signed up for a Live account using my own email, not a MS one. So maybe that's causing an issue somewhere?

I'm seeing the same bug, same gnome-online-accounts version but on 17.04. First time running Online Accounts I was presented with a Microsoft option. I signed in (and I also have a non-standard Live account meaning it's not outlook.com or hotmail.com), seemed successful, I turned off e-mail but left documents on. The account seemed to add but I couldn't find the documents anywhere. Now when I go back into Online Accounts I'm only given three options for accounts to add: Facebook, Flickr, and Google. The Microsoft account doesn't appear. I tried to uninstall completely and install (just the gnome-online-accounts applet) and it still shows the same. Is there a way to remove the configuration and start completely over? I can't even seem to get to that point.

After logging in, I see the "windows Network" added under Files > Other Locations. However, it has no access to the account. Gives the following error when clicking on it:
"Unable to access location,
Failed to retrieve share list from server: No such file or directory"

Google account is added successfully though!

Any solution?
