Bug Description

I am using Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon edition and I have some bugs to report.

In LM 18.1, when you changed a setting, most of the times it took effect immediately. However, in LM 18.2 the settings wouldn't change at all. I then rebooted to see if the changes would take effect. After restarting and logging back in, I was greeted several mount points on the desktop. I tried to un-mount them but I couldn't.

It also changed the background to the default wallpaper and my theme from Mint-Y-Dark back to the default theme.

The settings are still stuck. I can't even change the background wallpaper. I hope a fix will be soon implemented.

What settings are you attempting to change? How are you changing them? Be specific please.

What nemo version? (nemo --version)

Is nautilus installed? (dpkg --list | grep nautilus)

The settings I mainly tried to change were the animations in cinnamon and the alt-tab switcher.

I can't tell you what was my nemo version or if nautilus was installed because I reinstalled LM 18.2 because it got to a point where after logging in, I was greeted with a black screen.
