$ perf
/usr/lib/linux-tools/4.11.0-11-generic/perf: error while loading shared libraries: libbfd-2.28-system.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

$ uname -a

It works with perf + 4.11.0-10 kernel + linux-tools-4.11.0-10-generic

I looked at this failure already. This is because we have different binutils version in -release and -proposed, and when perf is built against the version in -release then run against the version in -proposed the library has a different version/name so the one it linked against cannot be found.

Closing invalid, this should resolve itself.
