Bug Description
It would be really cool to have a perspective grid,
supporting 1, 2, or 3-point perspective. This would be
helpful in drawing and aligning 3d scenes. The UI
would be a menu item: "create perspective grid", which
would pop up a dialog asking how many points. Then the
user would click "ok", and their cursor would change to
crosshairs or something (to remind users that they're
creating a grid).
The first click would set a horizon line. The next
clicks would set vanishing points.
In 1-point perspective, there are three major sorts of
lines: horizontal, vertical, and depth. A grid should
probably show at most two of those at once, so there
will need to be three icons at the bottom of the
screen: h+v, h+d, v+d.
In 2-point perspective, there are two kinds of
"horizontal" lines (neither of which is horizontal wrt
the document), plus vertical.
In 3-point perspective, even verticals aren't always
vertical.

njh was working on some non-rect grid types, don't know if
they were perspective or not. You might ask him if he has
some code to resurrect.
Moving to RFEs.
