Bug Description

If there is a blogpost that belongs to no user (no UserID is saved in the database) Mahara uses the UserID of the current User instead as the author of this post.. That causes a lot of irritation because user are linked to post, they didnt wrote. It would be better to use an "unknown User" or something like that to prevent irritations.

Sebastian, can you please provide more information on how you get to have a blog post that doesn't belong to a user? Which scenario are you referring to where the current user is used?

When you copy a Mahara page that contains a journal entry that you are allowed to copy, the journal entries author changes to the new owner like it happens with every other artefact. Is that the problem you are referring to?

Hello,

I don't really know how it happend that we have a blog post without an author. But it’s not a copied post that gets the user name from the one who copied it. The post always uses the username from the one who just reads it and so a lot of people where wondering if someone else can write in their names because their own name was shown even if they didn’t have anything to do with the post.

That is odd, Sebastian. Do you have any customizations in your Mahara site? I don't see this happening on my instance or on the Mahara demo site.

The only customizations we made is the theme and the language pack.
