Splitting overlapping objects

Bug Description

This would be a function similar to one found in Illustrator, where
overlapping objects would be split, creating a new object from the
area(s) that overlap. The overlapping areas are then subtracted
from the original objects.
I have included a file illustrating what I mean.

Isn't this RFE covered by boolean operations ?

No, this function is not fully implimented by the available boolean
functions.
Exclusion and Division are the closest, but if the two were combined, it
would produce the desired result.
In Illustrator, this function is called Divide. It may not seem like
much, but
it has proved to be VERY useful and I use it all the time.
