Bug Description
Steps to repro:
1. Enable the Ubuntu 16.04 pre-releases in the Sources app
2. Apt-get update and dist-upgrade. This will upgrade the kernel to 4.10.0-27 (4.10.0-27-generic #30~16.04.2-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 29 16:07:46 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)
3. Reboot and use the system and log into Unity 7. Use the system a little bit then close the lid or select "suspend"
4. Upon resuming, the mouse pointer stops working and you get kernel dumps on the command line.
5. This system worked perfectly with 4.8.0-54 kernel. without any issues.
