This is a feature that I would really expect to have:

Selecting single objects is working perfectly correlated between the XML
editor view and the graphical view of the document.

However: Selecting more than one object in XML is not possible at all and
selecting more than one object in the graphical view is not reflected in
the XML editor.

For complex documents, the XML editor could be a very powerful tool to
edit the structure. As it is, it only serves for minimal changes. :-(

Except when they don't fit, such as a typical "style" value. I found I had to click to put into the lower area just to read it at all. So don't get rid of that without supplying some other feature in return (e.g. tooltip shows the whole thing on hover).
