Bug Description

I tested out Sodipodi on windows - latest version in
binary form. It is a nice stable program consistent
interface with other GNOME applications. The quality is
good too. But it still lacks very fundamental features
for a graphic designer - I think the most important
would be bevel. This gives illustrations depth and
polish. There are other features I would recommend like
textures and lighting, but I think bevel is the most
important one to focus on first. Great job with getting
it to work on windows. If we can get people comfortable
with how well the programs work on windows, then people
will be more willing to switch to open source, also the
same applications being used cross platform is one of
the wonderful things about open source applications.

KIDPROTO: I don't think this is good feature to
implement, but I didn't NOT want to include someone's
suggestion (and commendations).

Whilst I agree with nicubunu, note that Kai's tools for
Freehand did this under the name 'emboss', I would have
thought that if a list of effects could be drawn up, they
would be soon implemented as extensions.

Also, this is probably not a 'fundamental feature' at all,
but icing on the cake!
