Bug Description
I download a lot of articles in pdf or epub format. Therefore I find the process of adding the book to Calibre and then going back to the original file and deleting it from where it was downloaded in the first place, very tedious.
Would you please consider adding an option (like a check box) that allows the user to move the books instead of just copying them?

I'm afraid not. Adding books works the way it does because of
robustness. If you need delete-on-add behavior, use the Auto add
functionality in calibre. Preferences->Adding books->Automatic adding
designate a folder as the auto-add folder. Now whenever you copy known
ebook filetypes to that folder they will be auto-added to calibre and
deleted from that folder.
