Public Japanese web page for Inkscape main site

I am a Japanese, so my English may be strange. Please see it.

I'd like Japanese web page for Inkscape main site. I can find many document
about Inkscape on web, but Inkscape main site doesn't have japanese page.
It's anxiety to see only English page within Japanese translation, for the
people which can't read English(just like me). say about Mozilla Project,
they have Japanese public main page and many document that be translated to
Japanese. they also have bugzilla-jp: bug tracking site with Japanese! If
we provide Japanese web page, it makes lot of people to know Inkscape and
make lot of Japanese Inkscape user. Then feedback will increase. Maybe
Japanese developer will participate to Inkscape project. It will boost
Inkscape development.

I attached my unstable Japanese translation of Inkscape site's top page.
I'm poor in English so I will not follow this feature discussion.

Thank you very much for spending your time on translation.

Unfortunately, we take a different approach to translating our website, so
your patch can't be applied as is. I will try to use the text from your
file so that it would still be useful, but it would be great to find
someone who could maintain the translation.

I now extracted the strings and put them where I believe they belong. This
is in revision 15389.
whitecaps, please review! inkscape_web/includes/localized-ja.inc is also
missing quite some translations,
it would be nice if you could fill them up. I also need a translation for
"The Page in japanese"
for inkscape_web/includes/navigation.php.

Unfortunately, the inkscape website is currently down so I cannot check it
much.

I am sorry if I take it wrong.

I saw the Japanese top page of Inkscape site which is updated. Thank you
for your working. But my translation is "unstable" as stated above this
thread and the attached file Description. My translation includes strange
point so I think that it needs to be polished by other person.

And "The Page in japanese" is 「日本語ページ」 in Japanese.

The national flag icon of link to Japanese page seems to be wrong. The
national flag of Japanese is "hinomaru" and not the cross, though they look
like same about coloring. Did you choose another national flag icon cause
it spend a lot of time to make Japanese national flag icon?

Thanks, I updated the web site.

About the flag, we are using
http://inkscape.org/images/flags/flag_japan.png
which I think is correct, but that flag doesn't show on the front page
yet.
The cross is for English.

I am closing this as it seems to have been applied. However, the flag on
the homepage needs to get straightened out ASAP as I only knew the Japanese
translation was there because I saw the destination in my statusbar when
hovering.

Gimp doesn't like me, so I asked for help with the buttons on the list,
but it seems nobody took it up. It requires merging the single icons into a
bigger file, in the right order (it then uses an image map for the links.
IIRC.)

I found two Japanese sites that have information of Inkscape. The site's
URL is below.

These sites include Japanese translation of "official" Inkscape wiki.

The translation of Inkscape wiki*(This means Japanese unofficial one)
includes colloquial sentence and unnatural translation (like be translated
with Google Translation Engine) a bit. The site must be wiki, but I don't
know what license be used in this site's sentence. And I don't know details
of Inkscape@JP at now. The site may be made by one Japanese person.

They(the two sites) may be useful as reference for "official" Inkscape
wiki. If we take their permission, We may have the way to set link to
their sites or "copy" their description in official Inkscape wiki page.

I have created my account of Inkscape wiki. But I couldn't find Japanese
page which I can edit. How can I edit Japanese page of Inkscape wiki?

#Should I submit new thread to post this contents? I finished reading
"Translation infomation - inkscape Wiki". I understand about the Inkscape
translation workflow a little.
