Bug Description

When selecting a top level (eg. Pictures) to try and reorganise my pictures and videos, rapid freezes for a couple seconds then says that it has crashed and download cannot happen from this directory.

I imagine it is to do with the number of files in the directory.

Thanks for your bug report. It has nothing to do with how many files you have. It looks like you have one or more zero length files in that folder or its subfolders (i.e. files that are zero bytes in size). The next release will workaround that problem by ignoring the zero length files, but in the meantime I suggest deleting them and/or running a file system check.

summary: - Rapid Photo Downloader crashes when selecting a very large folder of
- images and videos in a tree structure
+ Crash when scanning file with zero length

Photos or videos of zero bytes length will be ignored in beta 7.

I suspect the problem with thumbnailing is related to the same problem. However, please let me know if thumbnailing still fails after installing beta 7, when I release it this coming week.

Thanks again for your bug report.

The release is now ready to test with your files. I've tested it with 2.3 TB of my photos (115,630 images) and it works well with that set of data.
