[2.2, UI]Failure to create a bond didn't surface an error

[2.2. bzr6054-0ubuntu1~16.04.1, Machine details - Interfaces] I tried to create a bond from two bridges and the creation failed but I didn't get any feedback on the UI

Bug description:

* Current result:

Given I am in Machine details in Interfaces
When I try to create a bond from two bridges
Then MAAS fails to create the bond, but as a UI user I only see the bridges missing from the Interfaces table and I don't know that the creation failed
And when I refresh the page I see the previously selected bridges.

* Expected/ correct result:

Given I am in Machine details in Interfaces
When I try to create a bond from two bridges
Then MAAS fails to create the bond, and it should provide feedback that the creation failed and I should still see the selected bridges in the interfaces list.

I hit the same/a similar error - I tried to create a bond using an interface that already had a vlan device attached to it. No error was shown in the UI, but there was an exception raised in regiond.log.
