Capslock remaped to backspace doesn't keep backspacing when held down

Bug Description

After remapping backspace in the gnome tweak tool holding down capslock does not continue to remove characters unlike the actual backspace key. It will only remove one character per keydown.

Steps to reproduce:
* Open gnome tweak tool and go to "Typing"
* Open "Caps Lock key behavior" and select "Make Caps Lock an additional Backspace"
* Select some inputted text and hold down capslock.

Ubuntu version: 16.04

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1694250

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Don't think this needs a log file. I have confirmed this on more than one computer so there shouldn't be any issues reproducing it from the instructions above.

I'll just add in that the version of ubuntu-gnome-desktop I have as listed by dpkg is 0.58.3.
