It is strange it is appearing as both a network mount and a local mount (different icons). I have just tried setting up a nfs share mount (with default options) and I only get a network mount entry.

Please could you confirm which version of Files you are using and show the relevant lines from your /etc/fstab file (redacted as necessary).

Is there any way this share could be being mounted twice in different ways? If you hover over the sidebar entries do they show the same address for the mount location?

No, both entries point to the same location and show the same disk space data

fstab:

homeserv.local:/export/downloads /media/downloads nfs auto,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,timeo=14 0 0
homeserv.local:/export/vault /media/vault nfs auto,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.device-timeout=10,timeo=14 0 0

$ dpkg -l | grep pantheon-files
ii pantheon-files 3.4-0~r2551+pkg63~ubuntu0.4.1

Maybe that's because it is mounted using systemd.automount?

I have confirmed that it is the x-systemd.automount option that is causing this. I note the duplicate sidebar entries also occur in (at least) PCManFM and Thunar but not Dolphin so it is not specifically a Pantheon Files bug. I suspect it is a "feature" of systemd and gvfs so any filemanager using gvfs and GVolumeMonitor will experience this. It may be possible to work around this by detecting entries in the Device list with the same path and only showing one.
