This test failure is caused by upstream moving to libdeflate which provides different results on little and big endian machines:

Thanks for reporting.

advancecomp 2.1-1 which was synced to Bionic includes the fix from the corresponding Debian bug report and has built fine (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/advancecomp/2.1-1). Since Artful has reached end-of-life, I believe this can be closed.
