Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) reached end-of-life on April 25,2019.

Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported when using a currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and describe in detail the issues that you are experiencing otherwise this report can be left to expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
