[Wishlist] Alternative to Paint Bucket Tool

Even though there is paint bucket tool, fill by many, and fill by stroke, this doesn't exactly solve every problem. For example, if I try to use fill by many tool within the attached SVG, it is sometimes very problematic, and it requires more work to get some areas to work. Thus, there really needs to be a solution that is not the paint bucket tool, and ones that is more robust than available solution.

There are some areas in the attached SVG which requires you to cut out path manually, or place them at the closest to the intersecting line, and sometimes it will fail to snap. However, I must say current solution works for less complicated shapes. Fill by many, and fill by stroke works well as a tool for closed shapes only. We need a solution that works with overlapping shape, and open shapes where there is an closed area.
