Bug Description

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding gnome-shell. This problem was most recently seen with package version 3.24.1-0ubuntu1, the problem page at https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/e65ecf01c68dcdeebf7e1112c96ad6dda77f2ed0 contains more details, including versions of packages affected, stacktrace or traceback, and individual crash reports.

This particular crash stopped happening around 17.10. And has zero reports in 18.04.
