Bug Description

I have had problems in updating my Ubuntu laptop after I upgraded to 17.04. The "Ubuntu Software" is not working well. Today's problem came after a power- and internet-cut. I could not get it to resume, and upon restarting the laptop, the above error message came.

You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"
