make a bit map copy command has no confirmation

I am not fully aware of all the features and how they work but as a new
user I do not have any information displayed when I select from the edit
menu --> make a bit map copy.
It was only through a fair bit of trial and error I discovered that when I
select an object on the canvas that it creates a bitmap copy in the same
directory as the saved file.
A confirmation box could tell me whether a copy was made or if I hadn't
selected anything that I need to select at least one object etc.

Edit > Make a bitmap copy exports the selection as a bitmap and then inserts it back into the document.
Having a confirmation for this action would be comparable to having a confirmation for copy/pasting an element. In my opinion would be unnecessary and very annoying. Closing as Wontfix.
