Bug Description

Suggested problem type: regression
Sub-system: networking
See also: https://askubuntu.com/questions/913018/ubuntu-16-04-02-hwe-breaks-networking-jumbo-frames-for-bcm5709

I upgraded the server from 14.04 to 16.04. The networking was working fine and supported Jumbo Frames. But after the upgrade I am getting:

SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument

when trying to set the frame size.

I have three Dell servers with this problem. I know it has to do with with 16.04 and/or +HWE because I have still have the same model Dell servers running 14.04 and they have Jumbo Frames enabled.
