eps export does not cut out background properly

Exporting included svg image to eps in inkscape v0.45 produces and eps
image where the background is not cut out properly. Please see the attached
file for example.

Exporting this svg to eps in CSV snapshot (inkscape-16175) makes inkscape
to crash. GDB debug dump is also included.

And thank you for developing such a powerfull drawing program. I hope that
this bugreport will help you to improve it a little bit more.
