Bug Description

First I tried to install inkscape and it hung on '[-] Run configure hook of "core" snap if present' for over 5 minutes, so I killed it and reinstalled:

mike@mike-debian:~$ sudo snap install --edge inkscape
2017-05-04T15:54:05-06:00 INFO snap "core" has bad plugs or slots: core-support-plug (unknown interface)
[-] Run configure hook of "core" snap if present
error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Run configure hook of "core" snap if present (run hook "configure": <hook aborted>)
mike@mike-debian:~$ ^C
mike@mike-debian:~$ sudo snap install --edge inkscape
inkscape (edge) 0.92+devel from 'inkscape' installed

Now I get the following when trying to run the program:

mike@mike-debian:~$ /snap/bin/inkscape
/snap/inkscape/2976/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-3-0/gtk-query-immodules-3.0: error while loading shared libraries: libmirclient.so.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Running Debian stretch:

mike@mike-debian:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 9.0 (stretch)
Release: 9.0
Codename: stretch
