Hello Arnaud,

this has in fact nothing to do with the file's content as long as its MIME type is unknown to qpdfview. The reason is a coding error introduced in the recent automatic decompression of gz, bz2 and xz files. Hence this a regression introduced after 0.4.17beta1 affecting only the daily builds and it should be fixed in the current trunk. I will also trigger a rebuild of the daily builds ASAP. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards, Adam.
