terminator hangs when a sshfs mount enters in a hang itself

hi, I've consistently experienced this behaviour:
In terminator, use sshfs to mount a directory.
Have other tags open with whatever task.
Have the underlying ssh session enter in some TIME_WAIT state, by change of dynamic IP, f.i.
The whole terminator session will hang.
