VLC sound indicator menu playback does not correspond to actual playback

Bug Description

Affected system:

- Ubuntu 17.04
- VLC* 2.2.4-14

Problem:

If you play a song, VLC still shows "stop" state in indicator sound menu.

This does not affect other players such as Clementine.
Play/Pause control buttons also have no effect on playback.
Skip Next / Previous Buttons work however.
Reproduced on Ubuntu MATE 17.04

I think this is not the correct bug title. In fact, There is no problem when you start a file from the vlc icon in the sound indicator. The problem is on the other way : the indicator sound is not able to know vlc status when a file is started from the file manager.

reproduced on all ubuntu version (even ubuntu 18.04 with several mate version s)
