Bug Description
Hi,
Trying to install downloaded deb files for external applications (like dropbox, sublime text, pycharm ...) with the "Software" application fails.
The workaround is to use dpkg or gdebi in command line.
I don't see any logs in journalctl.

I have the same issue in a fresh install of Ubuntu Gnome 17.04. Clicking on the Install button does nothing. I successfully use gdebi as a workaround.
