Interpreting the backtrace:
- The AsStore object inside GNOME Software the multiverse dep11 data being added/changed.
- The YAML is parsed.
- AsStore crashes parsing virtualbox because it has a NULL "format".

I've been trying to reproduce here by installing/removing virtualbox-qt and adding/removing the multiverse source but not getting any crashes (either zesty or artful).

More specifically, it seems to crash when merging entries (probably one from the installed .desktop file and one from the DEP-11 data).

Bug 1675633 is an apport report where the user did an update from outside GNOME Software that appears to have triggered this.
