Bug Description

Process in question:
 6832 ? Rl 2430:25 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/panel/wrapper-2.0 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/panel/plugins/libbattery.so 18 14680129 battery Battery Monitor Show and monitor the battery status

htop lists its RSS as 404M (20% of the memory on this machine, more memory than Firefox is using) and has one core pegged (100% CPU). This has resulted in a temperature increase on the machine as well. Sort of ironic that the process to monitor the battery is the thing that's killing it.
