Thanks for reporting the issue. The failed test was because the version of spl-dkms and zfs-dkms in Xenial aren't compatible to Linux 4.9/4.10. But this shouldn't bother most use cases a lot since we have those ko files prebuilt in linux-image-* packages, and only userland utilities like zfsutils-linux are required.

Actually, no, the .ko files are NOT there in linux-image-extra-4.13.0-26-generic for example.

Does this work with any post-KPTI kernel?
