Bug Description

Hello i recently dropped ubuntu 16.04 and installed zesty beta 2.
from the beginning i had problems with booting the usb stick , that i have resolved via nomodeset by pressing F6 during the boot. but this has also happened with 16.04.

The live image is working very well and i had no problems. During my first boot i had no acceleration or this is what apport is saying , the fact is that everything works very slowly, like i have no video driver. i have also installed nvidia proprietary driver from updates but with the same output.

i even played with some parameters from grub but no success.

The good part is that i had finally the idea to boot in recovery mode and it works good.

Please let me know if there is anything i cand do.

PS: the apport-bug is from normal boot

A workaround fix:

1. install nvidia proprietary driver
2. edit /etc/default/grub and remove nomodeset
3. update-grub / i also executes update-grub-gfxpayload out of curiosity, not really sure what it does.
4. reboot

it now seems to work again
