Mudlet 3.0 lags for a macOS user

The feedback on Discord is:

3.0 is lagging on macOS :/

when I'm walking on the path or around the town
the info I get from location has delay

I've the same latency in both clients
but when I type direction e.g. I press keybind W (west) and it takes more time until I see new location description etc.

I was hoping the switch to Qt5 and much, much slower render times on resizing wouldn't be an issue for MUD output rendering but it seems to be hitting the user. Would need to see if any others have the same problem.
