Bug Description

Evergreen 2.10

We have had numerous instances where staff load MARC files through the Load MARC Order Records interface and Evergreen displays that the file is partially loaded and the progress bar keeps going but no further progress is ever made. Staff then search for new pending purchase orders and usually find a new purchase order with all of their records on it.

It seems like the Load MARC Order Records interface is sometimes timing out before it can report that the file has been loaded and give links to the selection list or purchase order that was created from the file. This does not happen with all files and we don't see any obvious similarities between the files that do result in time outs.

Just reproduced this in 3.11 using the new angular Load MARC Order Records interface.

Load MARC Order Records interface is still showing as Processing but my PO has been created (found it through search) and it all the holdings information has been loaded to it.

To note, my file only had 14 records in it, each with only 1 copy, so not a big file.

I loaded a file with 2 records in it and that one finished processing and gave me the view queue/PO options.

This should be resolved with the background import functionality available as part of the Acq work in 3.13 (bug 2039609)
