Are you using the Gimp on OS X, and getting the Spanish
language for that program?

If so, could you state which variant of the Gimp and any
special steps needed to get the Spanish localisation.

Could you review the FAQ answer at
http://inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ#I_am_working_on_a_machine_with_operating_system_xxx_which_has_default_language_yyy_set.2C_but_I_want_to_work_with_Inkscape_menus_in_language_zzz_.28most_likely_English.29.2C_how_can_I_set_this.3F

Do you think that it could apply to you?

Do you have any way of setting the environment variables?

Other things being equal, I think that we should be trying
to achive parity with the Gimp here.

I'm the one who set up the localisation on OS X.

If you use the Inkscape.app bundle, then it is set up to use
the language settings from System Preferences, so as long as
you have "Espanol" at the top of that list then the Inkscape
interface will start in Spanish. Works perfectly for me
with Inkscape 0.43 and OS X 10.4.6.

If you're starting inkscape from the prompt then it should
also obey the system language setting, unless you force it
manually, with something like:
LANG=es_ES.UTF8 ./inkscape

I only install the gimp.app and when it's opened is on
spanish without to change anything.

I have review the FAQ but that is not my situation. I have
osx 10.4.6 on Spanish and others applications works on
spanish like Gimp 2.2.11. I have installed Inkscape 0.43 but
it starts on english.

I am a newbie in terms of terminal. I tried to do many
things without success.

I can't remember exactly, but it might not have been till
the 0.43-2 dmg of Inkscape that I fixed an OS X translation
related issue. Hvae you tried dowloading the latest 0.43
package: 0.43-4?

Originator: NO

I have fixed this in SVN and released an updated OS X package for 0.45
with the fix:
