Bug Description

Upstream release notes and changes: https://krita.org/en/release-notes-for-3-1-2/

3.1.2.1 is a small fixup for the above, and the commits between tags for those can be seen at: https://cgit.kde.org/krita.git/log/?h=krita/3.1

This is by far a bugfix release, but as the krita team decided to slide a few extra features into this micro-release it seems a FFE is likely required.

This seems to be a clean upgrade and install, and although I'm far far far from a digital artist, krita seems to work as it should on some testing.

ppa testing build is here:

https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/staging-misc/+sourcepub/7548114/+listing-archive-extra

in ppa:kubuntu-ppa/staging-misc

Note: that fails on arm64 and armhf, but so does the current 3.1.1 version in zesty release pocket, so not a regression over that version. An issue with openGL support I think. In fact, 3.x does not build on debian either on arm for the same reason since krita was ported to KF5/Qt5 and split from calligra , and krita developers do not seem to officially support builds on arm*.

Installed from ppa:kubuntu-ppa/staging-misc and application runs and behaves as expected.

+1 for getting this FFe accepted and into the archive

From IRC:

<infinity> acheronuk: The only major feature change there (other than some knew knobs, and better mouse handling) seems to be removing PDF export support. Which kinda sucks, but if upstream won't support it, I don't think we should either, so +1.

Since 1:3.1.2.1-0ubuntu1 is the version available in Ubuntu 17.04, I assume this can be resolved.

Changed in krita (Ubuntu):
status: Confirmed → Fix Released
