Bug Description

Recently I've had to restore a backup made with deja-dup and noticed the context menu item "Restore missing files" is missing in pantheon-files. It shows up in nautilus however. Can this be added as a plugin in the future?

elementaryOS 0.4 Loki
Deja-dup 34.2-0ubuntu1.1
pantheon-files 0.3.2-0~r2508+pkg62~ubuntu0.4.1

Depending on what commandline parameters deja-dup needs it may be possible to do this more simply with a .contractor file. I am not sure how this should be distributed for a non-elementaryos application.

Changed in pantheon-files:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
milestone: none → feature-future

Adding a text file named "deja-dup-restore-missing.contract" to ~/.local/share/contracts containing the following:

[Contractor Entry]
Name=Restore Missing Files
Icon=deja-dup
Description=Use Deja-dup to restore files missing from this folder, from the last backup.
MimeType=inode/directory;
Exec=deja-dup --restore-missing %U
Gettext-Domain=deja-dup

will result in a context menu entry as desired.

Ah. I did not know that I can just make contracts for applications like that. I will keep that in mind next time I find a missing menu entry.
