Bug Description

Unless I'm missing something, it seems the only joule specific bits are the kernel packages included in the tuchuck ISOs. These don't appear to be available anywhere and it's not at all easy to maintain/update. Can we put these packages (including source) in a PPA and/or point me in the right direction if this already exists somewhere? Thanks!

The current image is a beta release -- as of this date it is beta4. Features are still in daily flux and under development. Once final release we will have the appropriate packaging and support structure.

Ok great! I'd really like the source to be able to build this, and I'm not alone:

Please can you just do a branch push with the current working tree so we can help make everything work as expected?

It doesn't even have to be in a good state, I've just been blocked since December on this :(

Much love!
Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Sorry to have kept you waiting, the kernel source can now be found at https://code.launchpad.net/~canonical-kernel/ubuntu/+source/linux-joule/+git/linux-joule.

The kernel package will be released in the Ubuntu archive very soon. At the moment the built package is at https://launchpad.net/~canonical-kernel-team/+archive/ubuntu/ppa.

Hi Anthony,

Is there any update on the binary kernel package? It would be great if we can get the latest kernel supporting Joule's hardware (e.g., I2C, serial console, etc.) via apt.

Thanks,
Forrest
