Bug Description

Wirelsss/WiFi adapter BCM4350 (brcmfmac) fails after sleep on Dell XPS 9350.

Symptom:
WiFi fails to reconnect and no networks are visible.
Kernel reports: "brcmf_fil_cmd_data: bus is down. we have nothing to do."

Workaround:
$ rmmod brcmfmac
$ modprobe brcmfmac

The driver working properly with Linux 4.4.x

Sorry to say, but only the 'wl' driver is supported by Dell.

@Mario Limonciello: could you supply any links or hints on how we could start using this wl driver?

The thing is, the brcmfmac is what is supplied by Ubuntu by default. If it's the default, it seems strange to not support it (like: why not use the `wl` driver by default?) ...

I am using Ubuntu 18.04, vanilla install on a XPS 9350, and wifi is still an issue after suspend.

Does XPS 9350 have config that use BCM4350 as default?

Does the issue happen on Bionic?

Please run apport-collect under Bionic if the issue still happens.
