Installing Ubuntu Budgie on a macbook air, then the installer crashes after I am notified that grub-efi cannot be installed.

Bug Description

I'm installing 17.04 beta 1. I had this exact laptop running previously from this same USB/ISO image. For some reason, this time, the install fails while attempting to install grub-uefi. Then I get the crash report (this one). I have tried re-installing approximately 4 times now.
