dropper cannot color text selection

the full text will be colored

Confirmed on Windows XP:

the selected piece of text is deselected when I switch to
dorpper tool. The whole text is then colored.

This is quite a fundamental bug: text selection is the
property of the text context (tool) and does not exist
outside of that tool. For gradient handles I have made a
clumsy workaround, so you can color them with the dropper,
and it even remembers the selected handle. But it's only a
workaround, and it won't work for text because text
selection is much more complex. I think the correct solution
will be to change dropper to not be an event context of its
own, and NOT terminate the current event context when you
switch to the dropper tool. Just make it an event context
sub-mode (keeping its own cursor and toolbar button, so it
looks the same to the user).

As of current SVN, there is a workaround, in case you use only "stock"
colors: you can select some letters in text and click on of of the
swatches.
