Bug Description
Okay...
I frequently backup my important app configurations (as thunderbird) using aptik, in a fixed backup folder. I have recently switched to a new "flavor" of Ubuntu and have deleted my home folder. Using aptik, I loaded my backup folder and then restored my configurations and files.
HOWEVER, THE BACKUP FILES ARE ONE YEAR OLD!! This is the first backup I had ever taken with aptik!!! It seems that aptik DID NOT replace the old configurations.
Can you please confirm this bug ?

Hi,
It turns out that there was a conflict between the old and new data/config files. Both -somehow- have coexisted. I have managed to restore from the new data rather than the old one.
