3) What you expected to happen
It is expected that when I search for a software by using Ubuntu Software (a.k.a. Ubuntu Software Center) it is listed as available if it is available by using apt command.
4) What happened instead
Ubuntu Software (a.k.a. Ubuntu Software Center) does not show all software which are in fact available by using apt. For example: keepassx, keepass2, freeciv, arbtt, qtcreator...
affects: | apt (Ubuntu) → software-center (Ubuntu) |
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu better!
The default Software app starting in Ubuntu 16.04 is gnome-software (or ubuntu-software).
It would be more useful if you would file an individual bug for each app that should show in the Software app but isn't. If you do this, please add the tag appstream to each bug, so that someone who wants to work on this type of issue can easily find these bugs.
I'm closing this bug since this isn't fixable in gnome-software itself.
