Bug Description

Looks like a regression; the gnome-shell session is often crashing and ask again for login.

From journalctl:

Still getting many crashes (one after each cold boot)

3.23.90 works fine
but 3.23.91 is unusable again: login loop, X does not start via tty. Other DEs also fail.

I'm going to go ahead and close this since it seems this isn't reproducible on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 with all updates installed. But you can reopen this or file a new bug if you get this issue again.

Still sometimes getting this error on Ubuntu 17.10, causing the screen to go blank and session to restart.

18.04 has this quite often too, most of the times about 1 to 2 minutes after the first login.
