Bug Description
This happens on an ASUS ZenBook UX303UB, with nvidia-375 installed.
I'm able to connect to the host through SSH. I have run the apport-bug tool when the display was black.
The problem is not present when I switch back to using the Intel GPU using Nvidia's tool (through nvidia-prime).
So far, I have done the following tests, following reports from other users:
- Switched to kernel 4.8
- Tried with both nvidia-370 and nvidia-375
- Tried with fix to backlight (http://
- Configured ligthdm idle-timeout to 3 seconds and see if the display came back (due to an old bug affecting older versions)
Bumblebee is not installed.
I have seen several issues / questions that seems similar to this one, but I couldn't find a solution / workaround, other than disabling Nvidia's GPU.
I appreciate any help to debug this.
