Not sure if the above helps at all but would really like to get this fixed. I installed atop 2.2 from source and it works perfectly. I'm sure there are a ton of differences between the versions but figured I'd let you know so maybe it could provide a hint.

Is there any way to install atop 2.2 from a ppa onto Xenial? Would love to have this worked-around in the mean time.
