Bug Description

lightdm-gtk-greeter 1:2.0.2-1 on Arch Linux. Enter username<Tab>password. Quite often, the "p" or "pa" of password will have been typed and bullets shown in the password entry before the text in the entry is inverted due to selection and then deleted by the next character typed. "assword" is entered instead. Note, the "p" didn't get lost. I can see it appear as a bullet, invert, and disappear on the "a", and the number of bullets at the end is one short.

Another slight niggle is it can sometimes be seen that the password is deleted and the default "Enter your password" returns just before the VT switches away.

this one is a real bummer... Fed up having to give my password twice 'cause the first time it gets truncated.
I'll try to downgrade before considering switching to some other login manager.

Hi tkoun, as it affects you too please change its status from New to Confirmed as that might mean it gets some attention.

Hi, Why has this altered to unconfirmed with the linking to the GitHub issue?

The status should not be 'New' but 'Confirmed' as it was after I raised the bug and tkoun also experienced it. The status was incorrectly changed to Unknown by Sean Davis and then recently changed to 'New' by a bot. Can someone with the relevant privileges please set status to Confirmed.
