While doing some bug cleanup work, I found this old bug.

The reports point to the w3m versions shipped with Ubuntu Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 (even previous ones).

Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-standard-support on April 29, 2021 and Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) reached end-of-standard-support on May 31, 2023. I'm afraid this bug can't be fixed. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs promptly; it appears to be no further action possible at this time.

However, I have looked at the reports to see if there is any way to extract reproduction steps for the error, and have found that the cases are very varied and therefore unlikely to be reproducible.

Due to the above, I'm marking this bug as "Won't fix".

Changed in w3m (Ubuntu):
status: New → Won't Fix
