Bug Description

By default, we are building Ubuntu Trusty i386 images. This is what we have been using for the CI due to compatibility and performance reasons. Now that we are adding support for a more user-oriented usage, it would be nice to add options to pick underlying OS option. Defaulting to Ubuntu Xenial amd64 while keeping Ubuntu Trusty i386 for CI seems a good solution for this.
